Wedding Vows
I got married in the early 2010s. Here are my wedding vows. I feel I have kept them.
We’ve been together for three years. They have been wonderful, and it’s been because of you. When I’ve been sick, you’ve taken care of me. When I’ve been bored, you’ve entertained me. When I’ve made mistakes, you’ve forgiven me. Every time I’ve needed a partner or a friend, I have relied on you, and you’ve been there. Even when we’ve had disagreements, I have always been able to count on you to be patient, reasonable, and focused on resolution.
As I look to the future, I know there are times in my life when I will be met with challenges that I can’t face on my own. I’ll need someone who will help me fight through it, even when doing so isn’t easy. I need someone to make promises to me that I know they will keep. I believe that you are that kind of person. I promise to be that person for you.
I love you. I enjoy all the time we spend together. But my commitment to you transcends these feelings. I believe that I will always feel this way towards you. But regardless of how I might feel, my commitment to you as an earnest partner is made eternally.
